Arijit Singh Returns to the Vishesh Films Family with Awarapan 2’s New Song “Yeh Awarapan”

Vishesh Films and Sony Music India are back with the next big moment from Awarapan 2 and this one hits close to home. Following the massive response to ‘Ve Junoon,’ which crossed 30 million-plus YouTube views, landed a #2 spot on YouTube Trending, and secured a place on Spotify India’s Top 100, the franchise’s soundtrack continues its winning streak with ‘Yeh Awarapan.’
Sung by Arijit Singh, composed by Amaal Malik, and written by Rashmi-Virag, the track is steeped in the love, longing, and redemption that have always defined the Awarapan universe. It’s the kind of song that doesn’t announce itself loudly it sneaks up on you and stays long after the film ends.

In ‘Yeh Awarapan,’ Emraan Hashmi wears intensity like a second skin raw, brooding, and unmistakably emotional. The song doesn’t try too hard to move the listener; it simply does. Arijit’s voice, Amaal’s composition, and Rashmi-Virag’s writing come together with an effortlessness that makes it hard to imagine one without the other. It doesn’t feel like a song written for the film it feels like it was always meant to exist within Shivam Pandit’s world.
There’s also a deeper, more personal thread running through this reunion. Arijit Singh’s very first Hindi film song came from a Vishesh Films production, and years later, that association is still going strong. ‘Yeh Awarapan’ carries the same emotional depth and timelessness that has defined the Bhatt camp’s musical legacy making this collaboration feel less like a comeback and more like a continuation.
The title track of Awarapan 2 is out now on all streaming platforms via Sony Music India.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar, written by Bilal Siddiqi, and produced by Vishesh Bhatt, Awarapan 2 is presented by Vishesh Films and Mukesh Bhatt. The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli, Atul Kumar, and Aniruddh Rawal.
Awarapan 2 releases in cinemas worldwide on 14 August 2026.
